Thermal Bridging
Thermal bridging is a measure of insulation continuity. As a result of improved insulation of walls, floors and roofs, any heat loss caused by thermal bridging now represents a larger proportion of the total heat loss. Using junction details with minimised heat loss can bring significant improvements in SAP calculation results and therefore make it easier to achieve compliance with Part L or Code for Sustainable Homes. We can calculate linear thermal transmittance of your details, known as ? (psi) values
