Dynamic Thermal Simulations
We provide dynamic thermal simulations using IES simulation software. Dynamic thermal simulation can be utilised in a wide range of building design processes including:
BREEAM Credit Hea 10 – Thermal Comfort. This BRREAM credit requires a dynamic thermal simulation to evaluate appropriate servicing options, ensuring appropriate thermal comfort levels are achieved.
LEED EA Credit 1 - Energy Performance and EA Credit 2 – Renewable Energy. Credit 1 requires a demonstration of percentage improvement in the proposed building performance rating compared to the baseline building performance rating by a whole building energy simulation.
LEED EA Credit 2 requires a calculation of project performance by expressing the energy produced by renewable systems as a percentage of the building annual energy cost.
Overheating risk assessment UK Building Regulations Part L2A (New built non-dwellings) requires an overheating check for every occupied space which is not air-conditioned. Dynamic thermal simulation can be utilized as one of the possible options for carrying out this check.
